The Democratic Party has officially submitted a request for registration at the CEC for the upcoming local by-elections of March 6th. In a letter directed to the State Electoral Commissioner Mr. Celibashi, DP refers the President Decree No.13438 of 20.01.2022  and presents:

Subject: Request for registration in CEC of the DEMOCRATIC PARTY, as electoral subject

 

Honorable Mr. Commissioner,

By reference of the article 64 of the law No. 10019 of 29.12.2008, “Electoral Code of the Republic of Albania”, amended, DEMOCRATIC PARTY, asks The Central Electoral Commission to be registered as an electoral subject for the local by-elections of the March 6th 2022, announced by the Decree No.13438 of 20.01.2022 from the President of the Republic.

On behalf of the requests of the above mentioned provision of the Electoral Code, along to our request for registration, we are providing:

  1. Along the verification of the District Court of Tirana on 24.01.2022 which confirms that by order of the Minister of Justice No.12 of 19.12.1990 has been approved the establishment of the DEMOCRATIC PARTY, and this documentation it has been submitted at the Registration Office of the Political Parties.
  2. The chairman of DEMOCRATIC PARTY, Mr. Lulzim Basha, with the address: Boulevard “Zhan D’Ark”, No.11, Tirana”, which is the only authorized person to submit on behalf of the Democratic Party, the candidates for Municipality Mayors in the local by-elections of the March 6th 2022.
  3. As it has presented even in the verification of the District Court of Tirana of 24.01.2022:
